Instagram has been lurking in the shadows and, quietly picking up traction thanks to mobile photography and smartphones. It is a social networking app made for sharing videos or pictures from a smartphone like Facebook or Twitter (see our accounts are at the bottom of the page)
When you post a photo or video on Instagram, it will be displayed on your profile. Other users who follow you will see your posts in their own feed. Likewise, you'll see posts from other users whom you choose to follow. It is like a simplified version of Facebook where you interact with others using photos or video. You can follow be followed tag like comment and private message as well as save the photos you see.
You can sign up via your existing Facebook account or by email. All you need is a username and a password. You may be asked if you want to follow some friends who are on Instagram in your Facebook network. You can do this right away or skip through the process and come back to it later. It's always a good idea to customize your profile by adding your name, a photo, a short bio and a website link if you have one when you first get on Instagram. When you start following people and looking for people to follow you back, they'll want to know who you are and what you're all about.
Currently Instagram has up to 23 filters you can choose to apply to both photos and videos. By tapping the Edit option at the bottom of the photo editor, you can also apply editing effects that allow you to edit adjustments, brightness, contrast and structure. For videos, you can trim them and select a cover frame. If you want to edit your photo or video within the Instagram app, simply tap the wrench icon and choose a feature from the bottom menu. You can adjust the contrast, warmth, saturation, highlights, shadows, vignette, tilt shift and sharpness.
After you’ve applied an optional filter and made some edits, you’ll be taken to a tab where you can fill out a caption, tag other users to it and simultaneously post it to some of your other social networks. Once it's published, your followers will be able to view it and interact in their feeds. You can always delete your posts or edit details after you published them by tapping the three dots at the top.
Instagram recently introduced its new Stories feature, which is a secondary feed that appears at the very top of your main feed. You can see it marked by little photo bubbles of the users you follow.
People use Instagram to get a visual taste from the lives of their friends and family. They also want to see the authentic side of brands, not get bombarded with promotional offers. Research shows people enjoy videos more than pictures and you can currently upload a 60 second video.
***The bio is a precious piece of real estate on Instagram. It’s where you can pitch to your first-time profile visitors. So keep your text simple, crisp, and direct. If it’s memorable and catchy, then people are more likely to press that “Follow” button. After reading your bio.
You might send Instagram users to your bio link repeatedly throughout your posts. A way around repeatedly changing the bio link is using bit.ly. If you put up a bit.ly link in the bio, then you can change the underlying destination in bit.ly behind the scenes.
Post Regular and be interactive listen to what others say and proactively contact them if they drop off. By posting more you increase your engagement rate and the more you post on Instagram the faster your following grows. Very few people post every day. Do not let any conversation go unattended. It is preferable to post during work breaks and when people are likely commuting in the morning/evening. You need to find your niche and stick with it. Then, you need to find products that are already converting well for other affiliates and getting rave reviews by customers. If you would never buy the product you’re promoting, then you’re doing it wrong. If your community is bubbling with passionate fellow-travelers, it doesn’t have to be a one-way street. You can involve them in discussions about your plans. You can ask for their suggestions on places you want to travel to. Food is a huge part of every culture and a major motivation for people to explore new places. So whenever you’re dining out at a local restaurant, share.
First things first unless you already have a following skip down otherwise you must first build an audience this is where you will need marketing skills Whether you’re a business just starting out on Instagram or an individual opening an account for making money, you need to post strategically. We are a full service travel agency and I created this document for our use however I am sure others will find it benefical.
Market and build your brand by storytelling on Instagram, launch your site, start an email list, build a relationship, and you’ll get a few people to sign up. 3 major reasons for failure ---You’ll run out of ideas (or don’t have one in the first place) ---You aren’t confident that you’re good enough ----You’ll launch a product but later find that no one is willing to buy it --validate your idea and pre-sell a skeleton version what is your audience willing to buy what are they looking for? You can leverage Instagram and your website in tandem to find profitable product ideas. Question your audience’s biggest challenges through an image post and even a 60-second short video. Your followers will respond by commenting and sending direct messages. You can then simply direct them to your bio link that leads to a survey.
Starting out, posting high-quality content and using compelling captions will only take you so far. Those are compliance conditions to ensure your account doesn’t fall flat. If you want to grow fast, you need external help to get attention from Instagram. You need to cultivate relationships with power users in your niche and borrow their influence. Now there are a couple of ways to do this.
1. Shoutout search for Instagram accounts in your niche and request them to share your posts in exchange for you sharing theirs.
2. Buy Instagram shoutouts (which is also a way to make money)
3. take your Instagram engagement to the next level, you can consider running a giveaway and offering a prize to your followers.
4. Your Instagram audience loves to travel take them new places
You don’t want to buy shoutouts from just anyone. The number of followers, Number of likes an account gets per post The bio and description of the account When it comes to promoting a product, you need to ensure that the post is attractive but does not look like a sales ad
• Include one CTA (call to action) – If you ask people to follow the link in the bio and follow your Instagram account, they might not do either of the two.
• Don’t use the product image – People care about results. Show them the product you’re promoting in action and how it can positively affect their lives.
• Only use relevant hashtags – Overloading with 30 hashtags shows you’re desperate for exposure and selling.
• Shorten your link – If a long string of characters is lurking around your link, then it equates to bad user experience. Use bit.ly to maintain a professional and clean look.
Google Popular or Trending Hashtags to meet your needs test your content to see if it works and make changes as necessary also get to know your audience what do they tag
Hashtags allows platforms to cluster posts with a similar theme. Instagram (currently) allows you to add up to 30 hashtags per post. You should have at least 10-15 per post. Save the caption of the text for adding more context to your post. Even if you add hashtags in the first comment, Instagram will pick them up. You can’t use any random hashtag. Always consider relevance and competition. I recommend you to do prior competition research. Find commonly used hashtags in your niche and see the number of existing posts for a particular hashtag. Then create 3 categories: low-competition, medium-competition, and high-competition. When you post an update, use hashtags from all the 3 categories. You will have a better chance to appear higher in the results of low-competition hashtags while landing some decent exposure with the high-competition hashtags.
You get about 2,000 characters to tell a story, and show your brand’s personality. There are no rules. You need to know your audience and it is ok to experiment, a couple of words and an emoji can add context to your post. Play around with emojis and use @mentions to give shout outs to other Instagram users
Images that trigger an emotion or questions that elicit some thought work well. Think about how the viewer might feel when they see the picture or video the more emotion the better. Show faces when possible or the point of view to make the viewer feel a part of the picture. If it is a product smile big it makes you feel good and the viewer wants to share that same feeling of happiness.
CTA call to action reminds viewers there is more they can do than just scroll on past Post user generated content, maintain a consistent aesthetic theme so that your Instagram feed reaffirms your brand identity, posts that have calls to action asking people to comment tend to garner the most shares and tags. By starting a conversation this way, you can show your audience that you’re a person or people who care about others opinions
Shoutouts which are defined as “a screenshot of another user’s profile page uploaded to your account to show support and give exposure to the other user. Shoutouts can increase a user’s followers and provide advertising to small businesses and websites.” First, you need to have an affiliate product to promote. If you want to promote a brand’s product that you like, then go ahead. Otherwise, you can google “affiliate networks” and the kinds of products they offer.
It’s not uncommon to get criticized if you have a massive reach, you also have a responsibility toward people from different cultures and ethnicities. You need to understand that they have different sensibilities. So if a post is remotely controversial, think twice. Controversy can hamper your brand image and ruin your future chances of making money from Instagram. Stay consistent with your posting schedule and create an interesting theme around your content. If you keep at it, then your audience will fall in love with you.
You have no control over Instagram. Given that Instagram has terminated the accounts of people with thousands of followers without any warning, it doesn’t make sense to build your business solely on Instagram. Treat Instagram as a business asset. Don’t build your complete business on a piece of rented land that leaves you with little control. Your own website does allow you to control what content will remain so keep that in mind as you read.
Once you settle on your content type and strategy, it’s extremely important that you stick to that theme. The number one thing that keeps people coming back to any brand or business is consistency, whether it’s a Starbucks Macchiato or a McDonalds hamburger..To be really successful on Instagram, you need to be a little unique
There are stories of Instagrammers who are cashing in on the pictures they snap and share every day. You may have even looked at your own following and thought, “Maybe I can do that too”.
Why do businesses pay money to an Instagram user like you?
They get exposure to your audience, and they hope to make money in the process by having your followers buy or recommend their products.
Just like bloggers, YouTubers, and anyone who’s amassed an audience around the content they produce, Instagrammers have reach and influence figured out which are two things many companies struggle with.
How many followers do I need…1k is a good start if they are ACTIVE it does not matter how many followers if they are not active. To reach 1k active you may need 10k total just depends on your audience.
There are some factors to consider:
• What niche you’re in and how easily you can directly tie it to a “product category” (Travel, fashion, food, beauty, and fitness are popular niches) use Hashtags
• How engaged your followers are (100K fake followers are worthless). The more engaged the followers the better
• Which revenue channels you explore.
• Your audience has to take action on your recommendations
• Are you getting comments and emails which is engagement
• What is your engagement suppose you have 3,368 followers, and got 98 likes and 15 comments on your picture. That’s over 3% engagement
You can make money on Instagram in the following ways and chasing one revenue stream does not necessarily rule out another
• Doing sponsored posts for brands that want to get in front of your audience
. • Becoming an affiliate and making a commission selling other brands products.
• Creating and selling a physical or digital product, or offering a paid service.
• Selling your photography.
• If you directly sell your products on Instagram, then you don’t necessarily need a huge following 1k active followers may be enough to generate income
Partnering with brands as an influencer. Work With Brands on Sponsored Posts this is the most common tactic to earn money with Instagram
An influencer is basically anyone who’s built themselves an online reputation by doing and sharing things online, to their audiences, influencers are tastemakers, trendsetters and trusted experts whose opinions about certain subjects are respected.
Many brands just can't compete with that and so they partner with influencers instead to do sponsored posts that help get the word out about their products. Brands want your audiences trust in that what you say is the truth and what you say is dependable information.
1. You post pictures around your interests, and they show your personality. You follow a planned marketing strategy but you’re being you. As you share pictures and build your influence organically, relevant brands will approach you.
2. Create a pesona Since you’re aware that Instagram sponsored posts can be lucrative, you work towards that. So you look out for the most profitable niches and observe the posting strategy of the brands you’ll target. From there, you post high-quality content, strategically using
hashtags relevant to the brand’s audience. Not that this way is wrong or dishonest, it’s just goal-oriented to make money on Instagram. It’s pure business, but you must enjoy the process. Otherwise, your Instagram content will lose its realness. A persona helps to make business processes convenient and scalable.
3. Keep your content authentic, high-quality, and valuable. Don’t pursue sponsored posts simply to make money without believing in the brand you’re promoting. Taking too many of such posts will also burn your audience’s interest and lead to loss of trust in your brand
Most of these deals are negotiable and can involve a single post or an entire campaign in exchange for a fee, a free product, a service, a gift, the promise of exposure, or some combination of these. Keep in mind when negotiating that you’re not just offering content but access to your audience, a potentially large reach on one of the most popular social platforms around, and usage rights too.
Current rates (2018) are $200-$400 per post obviously this will change over time which is my google is your friend…..just google what is the current rate for ____ fill in the blank
How to Find Brands to Work With
If you're big enough, chances are brands will find you. But you can also look for brands to work with that are on a similar level in terms of personality and values, so your audience won’t feel like you’re “selling out”. You can reach out to them directly to try to work out a deal, but you can also list yourself on one of the many influencer marketplaces out there to increase your chances of being “discovered”
• Shoutcart: Sell a “shout out” to your audience on behalf of a brand, regardless of how large your following is.
• Fohr Card: Connect your Instagram, blog, YouTube channel, and other social platforms to create an influencer “card” that shows your different profiles and total reach for brands shopping around for a partnership. You also get access to a list of brands and their wants, so you can take the initiative to reach out too.
• Grapevine: If you have 5000 or more followers, you can list yourself in the Grape Vine marketplace
• Crowd Tap: Do small content creation tasks to earn rewards. This is great if you've got a smaller audience. Available in the U.S only.
• indaHash: Brands put up campaigns that you can participate in. Post a picture with the specified hashtags on Instagram and get paid. You need 700 engaged followers to be eligible.
Rules vary when it comes to sponsored content, but to be on the safe side and respect your audience’s trust, consider adding a #sponsored hashtag to indicate sponsored posts. You can find examples of sponsored posts and how Instagrammers integrate brands into their story by searching #sponsored on Instagram.
Become an Affiliate:
Unlike an influencer, an affiliate is more invested in making sales for the partner brand—not just generating awareness—in exchange for a commission
It is typically done with a trackable link or unique promo code to ensure clicks actually translate into sales. Since Instagram doesn’t yet allow links anywhere outside of your bio, you can only focus on one product at a time if you choose to rely on affiliate links, making promo codes is a better option for Instagram since you can incorporate them into your posts.
Consider reaching out to one of the many online merchants that offer affiliate programs that you can participate in such as
• ClickBank: An affiliate platform with a tier-based commission that's open to everyone.
• RewardStyle: An invitation-only fashion and lifestyle influencer network that offers 20% commissions.
• Amazon's Affiliate Program: A popular option that pays out a 10% commission.
Affiliate marketing is an art, and you’ll have a better chance at success if you have a plan going into it and expand your online presence to include a website and other marketing channels.
By selling your own stuff, you don't need to worry about integrating messages from other brands into your posting strategy. Better yet, you can get your own brand out there for your products. Fans can show love and support by buying from you a purchase they can feel good about.
Final thoughts and ideas:
• You can print and ship your own t-shirts, pillows, coffee mugs, wall art, and more.
• You can sell services such as Travel, photography or consulting, using your bio to direct interested people to a link to your professional website.
• You can use your Instagram account to launch a business or even a book.
• Shopify store and make your Instagram shoppable
If photography is what got you into the Instagram game in the first place, you can list your photos in marketplaces where brands and publishers might license them. If you've already got the demand, all you need to do is take the initiative and offer your audience the opportunity to buy your photography from you.
Rather than brands paying big money for photos from professionals Foap is becoming a popular alternative. You sign up You build a profile You create a portfolio of your best images that you’d like to sell You earn $5 for each image you sell (you can sell the same image an unlimited number of times) other places to sell photos 500PX, Twenty20, Snapwire to name a few again Google who is buying pictures to find others who are out there
If you are going to collaborate with multiple brands and help them run their marketing campaigns, you need to stay organized. Create a personalized package for all the brands you work with. Before you start a campaign, try to find out the brand’s marketing budget, their requirements, and the problems they are facing. This can prove useful to negotiate your price. You also need to establish clear metrics for evaluating the success of your campaign. Here are a few ways to measure the performance of your campaign and the value you’re creating for brands.
• Increase in their Instagram following – Most brands will want to see their Instagram audience jump up if nothing else. If your audience trusts you, then many will press the follow button on the brands you recommend.
• Website traffic – by using UTM parameters and Google Analytics, a brand can segregate the surge in traffic from your Instagram account. An indicator of your influence.
• Product sales –If your word has the influence to get a majority of your audience to buy products, then brands will flock to you.
Try a couple of dry runs on your own site. Then once you get the idea, agree on a price with the brand and over-deliver on your promise. If you understand your audience well and they respond to your endorsements, then you can quote a value-based price instead of a fixed dollar for every post. Reach out to brands with a request for sponsored posts
Influencer Marketing Agreement :
Set the expectations straight and ensure a mutually beneficial partnership with brands. I want to help you get started. If you aren’t using a third-party influence marketing platform, then your agreement should include these campaign details. the expected posting schedule and overall length of the campaign, specifics of content (image specifications/creative control) details on how payments will bemade disclosure clause FTC, who will retain the usage rights, other location specific requirements
If you have a prominent web presence, you can package a blog post, Twitter, and Facebook post along with Instagram posts to create a high-value bundle.
How much can I make on Instagram:
There are several avenues to monetize your account or accounts
As an influencer 200-$400 per post An average number to use .25-.50 cents per like and $1 per comment
1. You create a sponsored Instagram post (it could be a photo or video)
2. You include a branded hashtag, mention, or link to promote a brand
3. You share it with your audience
4. You get paid
YouTube influencers get paid the most as compared to other social media platforms stats as of 2018 nearly double the income as compared to the others because people are attracted to watching short videos. Vlogging and releasing personal videos on YouTube can make your audience feel connected to you. But Instagram is an extension of YouTube to show your fans what’s happening in your daily life.
DISCLAIMER - If you are reading this section it is probably outdated. I wrote this for my own personal reference. Feel free to read but know it may be outdated and or may not be totally correct this is being written in 4/2018 and is based on my research and I believe this information to be correct to the best of my ability. In other words I accept no responsibilities if something is incorrect or outdated etc…
There are essentially two ways to make money online:
1. Sell you own stuff
2. Sell or promote someone else’s stuff and get paid for doing it
Three basic steps in Affiliate Marketing
1. You recommend a product or service to people (your followers or people you know).
2. Some of those people purchase the product or service based on your recommendation.
3. You get paid a commission for those purchases
How does affiliate marketing work?
1. You online presence where people listen to what you have to say partner with the company that sells a product or service you’d like to recommend. As their partner, you become their affiliate.
2. You recommend a product or service to your followers. You might do this by writing a post about it, placing a button or banner ad somewhere on your site, mentioning it in your email newsletter or talking about it on social media. You include a special link to the product or service so followers can check it out for themselves. But you don’t just use any link, you use your affiliate link. It contains a special number, your affiliate ID, which is unique to you.
3. A follower uses your affiliate link to check out the product when purchase is complete, you earn a commission.
Remember Always tell your readers when you are using affiliate links. Choose only products or services you can recommend without reservation. Choose products or services that are relevant to your niche. Its important your products match what your site is about.
Check around for the best affiliate deal. Experiment with different networks, types of content, ad sizes, text links vs. images, placement on your page, etc. Sometimes there are vast differences in revenue when small changes are made. Know the Terms of Service for the programs.
To find people to affiliate with like Amazon do a search in your category and you can join an affiliate network. The Affiliate network works as a middle man connecting creators with business owners.
CPA = Cost-Per-Action (sometimes referred to as CPL = Cost-Per-Lead) A reader clicks your ad and is asked to complete an action such as purchasing a product or subscribing to something. You get paid when the reader completes the required action.
PPC = Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Each time a follower clicks on a PPC ad on your site, you get paid. The amount you are paid depends o keywords and how much advertisers are paying. Google Adsense is an example of PPC CPM = Cost-Per-Mille or Cost-Per-Impression You put an ad on your site and you get paid a predetermined amount for every 1000 pageviews on your site.
Things to AVOID:
Some Ways to get Banned as an Amazon Associate Links cannot be sent in Email instead link to your website and direct the user to click the link from your website, you cannot cloak or spoof links to Amazon, do not buy products from your links, do not create more than one account, do not mention prices Amazon generally does not allow you to share affiliate links on sites you do not own, social network sites are something of an exception. In order to make sure that you are sharing acceptable links on your social media, be sure to click the “share” buttons from the Amazon Affiliates Stripe when you are logged into your affiliate account. If you post on your facebook page make sure you disclose you are an Amazon affiliate and may be compensated for the ad. You cannot BOOST the facebook ad for Amazon. Appears if you link on someone elses FB you should put in the post.. ”Affiliate Link” or “Sponsored Link” ideal way to do this would be to post a link to your own website where the person can then click the links you have on your website.
What is an Amazon Associate? Amazon Associates help website owners, Web developers, and Amazon sellers make money by advertising millions of new and used products from Amazon.com and its subsidiaries. When website owners and bloggers who are Associates create links and customers click through those links and buy products from Amazon, they earn referral fees. It’s free to join and easy to use. Provide customers the convenience of referring them to a trusted site where they can immediately purchase the products you advertise on your site. And when they do, you can earn referral fees. Take advantage of various Amazon retail promotions and leverage our newly created advertising features to drive traffic and earn referrals.
Enrollment and Eligibility
Submit a complete and accurate Associates Program application. Sites are publicly available and cannot do anything illegal or immoral. Amazon will determine suitability at their sole discretion. Keep in mind Amazon can also cancel you at any time so do not make this a sole means of income. You will provide contact information and tax information when signing up for the account
If you wish to include Special Links in a software application designed and intended for use on mobile phones, tablets, or other handheld devices (a “Mobile Application”), you must include the name of the Mobile Application and the link to your Mobile Application in your application to the Associates Program. Amazon will evaluate your application and notify you of its acceptance or rejection. A Mobile Application that is accepted will be an “Approved Mobile Application”
Links on Your Site:
After you have been notified that you have been accepted into the Associates Program, you are permitted to display Special Links on your Site. Special Links enable accurate tracking, reporting, and accrual of fees. Once you are accepted you can go to the Amazon Associates link then go to “product linking” to create your personalized links you can also go to this section for creating custom links for products.
Special Links may be created by you or made available to you by Amazon. If Amazon informs you that your Site does not qualify to use certain types of links, you must cease displaying those types of links on your Site. You are solely responsible for the content, style, and placement of each link that you place on your Site and for ensuring that Special Links (whether created by you or made available to you by us) include the appropriate formatting necessary for Amazon to properly track referrals of customers from your Site. You must not encourage customers to bookmark your Special Links. All Special Links must be accessed directly from your site. For example, you must include your Associates ID or “tag” (appearing as XXXXX-20, or such other format as we may designate) as a parameter in the URL of each link you place on your Site to the Amazon Site.
Upon your request but subject to Amazon approval, they may issue you additional “sub-tag” Associate IDs that permit you to monitor and optimize the performance of your Special Links by including different sub-tags in the URLs of different Special Links. Under no circumstances may you associate any sub-tag with a specific end user of your Site (e.g., you may not dynamically assign sub-tags to users as they arrive on your Site for purposes of monitoring such users’ behavior).
You may add or delete Products (and related Special Links) from your Site at any time without Amazon approval. However, you may not use Special Links to link to the Amazon Site from references to products on your Site that are not “Products” as defined in the Agreement. For example, you cannot link to the Amazon Site with a link for “shoes”, however you can link to the Amazon Site with a Special Link to a specific shoe Product detail page. All of that to say NO generic links to a broad range of products.
You will be solely responsible for your Site, including its development, operation, and maintenance and all materials that appear on or within it. The Associates Program is free to join, and Amazon will provide resources on the Associates Site to help Associates succeed with the program. We have never authorized any business to provide paid set-up or consulting services to our Associates, so please be wary if any business like that (even one attempting to appropriate the Amazon name) reaches out to offer you costly services.
Content on Your Site
You will be solely responsible for the content on your Site and ensure: you go read and follow the long list of rules which I am sure changes often.
You must clearly state the following on your Site or any other location where Amazon may authorize your display or other use of Content: “We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”
Except for this disclosure, you will not make any public communication with respect to this Agreement or your participation in the Associates Program. You will not misrepresent or embellish our relationship with you (including by expressing or implying that we support, sponsor, or endorse you), or express or imply any affiliation between us and you or any other person or entity except as expressly permitted by this Agreement.
You may earn fees by acting as a social media presence facilitating customer purchases as part of the Amazon Associates “Influencer Program” in connection with your participation in the Associates Program. In order to participate in the Influencer Program, an eligible Associate (“Influencer”) must meet Amazon qualitative and quantitative thresholds, complete the registration process, and comply with the applicable provisions of the Associates Program Operating Agreement, including this Influencer Program Policy.
Influencer Page To register as an Influencer, you must complete all information requirements, including granting requests to access data regarding your social media presences same as above register your sites and information like Instagram twitter etc.
How does the program work? If you have a website or blog and want to monetize it, the Amazon Associates program is a good way to add affiliate money making opportunities. With this program, you can add links to any item on Amazon's site to your website and get commission when someone clicks the link or makes a purchase. You want to drive traffic to your website which will then click on the Amazon link to make a purchase
For me size is most important then run time as I want more than ten minutes of air time then of course stabilized flight reliable flight so I do not crash. Sticker price may not give you an exact indicator of quality, although it does provide a quick, and approximate, assessment of which drones are better than others. In general, more expensive drones will fly longer and farther, take better movies and photos, and come with more bells and whistles. But to make a more informed decision, you'll need to get specific about specs. Also you need to consider what is important for you. This article is about my research for a drone to meet my needs yours may vary. I will be travelling in an RV around the country and I want some compact I can carry with me and maybe also server a dual purpose as a camera I can carry around with me. I am looking for a unit that has the latest gimbal technology and the best camera I can afford and stay within a reasonable budget.
Just like any battery-operated device, a drone will eventually run out of power. As of 2018 the best models, flight times between charges struggle to surpass 30 minutes. You will in most cases want ONE spare battery which you should also put a date on when the battery is purchased and or label A and B so you can rotate the batteries.
Drone Motors-- Brushless motors cost more than brushed ones, but in exchange, they offer quieter operation and possess a longer lifespan, which means you won't have to replace them as often. Let’s be honest though all drones currently sound like an angry beehive ready to explode.
Headless mode: means that when you press the controller stick in one direction, the drone will move in that direction relative to you, rather than relative to where the joystick is pointing. Integrated GPS: Integrated GPS, lets the machines know where they are in the world. Helps drones find their way home aka RTH return home feature also helps with general stability, navigation and helps the drone to hover in place Gimbal: three Axis integrated gimbal keeps the camera steady while it's moving around with the drone. if you want the best video footage and photos, make sure the drone includes a gimbal. Follow-me mode: Some drones equipped with GPS also offer this option: Follow-me mode lets your drone track you so you can concentrate on your tasks (walking biking etc) and tags along recording your progress.. Obstacle avoidance: as the name suggests it uses the camera to make decisions and avoid collisions Range: If you cannot see your drone it may have gone too far. Consider if it fails you will need to find it and if you see it fall your chances of recovery are much better. Some drones offer a GPS find mode however if the crash is severe this may not help (UAS) unmanned aerial vehicles
Camera Options The best camera depends on your specific needs. For a real estate video you may want a camera like the 20mm ones found on the DJI Phantom Series and Inspire 1. If you are filming an extreme sports video, the fisheye look of the GoPro cameras may be a better option. Most beginner drone cameras do not offer professional features, like interchangeable lenses, filters etc.
Travel Case: You will need to seriously consider a case to protect your investment and to carry the odds and ends you will need such as charger, spare battery, extra blades etc.
Prop Gaurds are not only good for the drone they keep you safe also if you happen to have a flying mishap. Think of them as insurance….
